This is the bike that doesn’t exist!

    
The bike is a 1985 POLICE BIKE with a SHOVELHEAD ENGINE and BELT DRIVE.

    
Theoretically 1984 was the last year for the Shovelhead engine, and
theoretically no Shovelheads were produced with belt drive so this bike should
not exist. But Harley produced a very limited number of these bikes for police
departments and this is one of them. Published numbers range from 110 to 186,
but it certainly seems to be below 200.

    
This bike was originally intended for the Montreal, Canada police
department, but it was never put into service. It has the original (matching
numbers) engine complete with the four stamped stars indicating a special
Police engine. It also has a Police speedometer as well as the other items that
are unique to police bikes. Most importantly, I have a letter from Harley
Davidson affirming that this is a real Police bike that was shipped to Canada
in 1985 as well as a breakdown of the VIN indicating that it is a Shovelhead
with belt drive.

    
The bike is beautiful and is predominantly original including paint, but
there are a few aftermarket parts on it such as an S & S carburetor. It is
fully serviced including new Dunlop tires and needs absolutely nothing. I have
a clear title in my name as well as a current registration. Included in the sale is an original factory sales kit containing all of the information on the police bikes.
