 this is an almost all chrome 1998 custom shovelhead. i believe the engine is around a 1977. it has a 93 inch stroker kit with S&S jugs (not bored out harley ones), a S&S carb, crane hi-4 ignition, duel plug heads. it has a new clutch, starter, and speedo. the milage is unknown due to speedo being broken when i got it. the tires only have a few hundred miles on them. it needs a new primary belt installed ( new belt included with bike) and the oil pump check valve is worn out allowing oil to drain into engine while sitting. the bike has a few minor cosmetic flaws shown in pictures. this is a shovelhead so it does drip a little oil as they are known for. it is wired for turn signals but has no rear ones. this bike ran very strong before belt broke and with little tlc would be a very nice bike. it is titled as a 1998 assembled. please feel free to ask any questions if i have missed something. if not picking up locally, buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping.

1979 HARLEY
DAVIDSON CUSTOM SHOVELHEAD

1979 Harley Davidson Shovelhead Custom Chopper – This bike has been completely customized. The frame is a 1979 Harley Davidson FX while the motor came from a 1982 Harley Davidson FXR. The motor is an 80 cubic inch shovelhead. 1982 was actually the last year Harley made the shovelhead motor. The frame has been converted into a rigid hard tail. The front has been slightly raked. It has a Dyna Wide Glide front end with a 21″ chrome spoke rim. It has chrome 20″ ape hanger handlebars. The bright yellow paint looks excellent. It has chrome forward controls, chrome handlebar controls, chrome upswept exhaust with fishtail ends, chrome oil cooler, etc. The primary cover is from a Harley Davidson panhead. This bike is a real head turner.

This Harley comes with a Clean 1979 title. The frame and motor numbers do not match since they are from completely different bikes. The mileage is unknown since the original gauges do not work anymore. This bike does leak some oil just like every other Shovelhead out there. It is kick start only but does have electronic ignition. This bike was built more than 5 years ago and not ridden very much. It is on consignment at my shop because the owner and builder just doesn’t ride it enough to justify keeping it. This is a perfect bike to take to shows and bike nights. It draws a crowd wherever it goes.

up for sale is 1 of my keepers, its an anniversary 1978 1340 full dresser, this was the 1st year for the 1340, apparently alot of people don’t know this & the last year was 1985 shovelhead & they were only made for police use& i have 1, but back to the 1978, its all original, except the tires-chain-& battery. this bike runs great as i ride it & only leaks from chain oiler !! the motor doesn’t smoke-knock, & doesn’t skip a beat, i have all the keys & the bike needs nothing. this bike has all factory stickers on the frame&battery cover&handle bars, the horn works sometimes, but everything else is in perfect working order& the connections probably need cleaning,the motor has never been apart, but i have retorked the heads& base nuts.this bike shows petina&i have never cleaned it, i’ve just done the service & keep her purring, so there are scratches & little dinks on the bike, which i happen to like, so if your looking for acollector you can show&ride, this is the bike, i’ve only seen 4 of these bikes in over 35 years of riding. the seat thats on it will not go with the bike as i’ve owned it for 30 years , but i will throw in a new leather solo seat & of course the flex seat goes with it. so ask any&all questions, as all sales are final !! i require a 200.00 dollar deposit in my pay-pal at the immediate end of the auction& the balance in cash or wired into my savingsaccount within 5 working days. Up for sale is my 1975 FLH Shovel. It is a beauty and real head turner. Electric start and kick start. Runs out well, 4 speed transmission. 2 inch lowering kit installed. I have the other shocks if you need to raise her. Comes with the double seat as well. I also am including a rear fender suction seat with the sale. spare dash. She rides perfect and there is no other sound like it !! If you have ever had a shovel you will know what I mean. I am moving so have to sell my toys. The fuel tank has been stretched as well. For the collectors that asked last time, the numbers on the frame and engine match the title. This bike looks awesome, and yes it has leaked a few drops of oil just like the rest of the old Harley’s.  I have a clear Georgia title in hand. I have the bike listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. 

 This is a 1981 Harley Davidson Shovelhead. We obtained this bike from a bike shop that went out of business. It ran and rode fine when we got it but has not been started in about a year. It probably needs the fluids drained and changed before being started. It has a S&S Super E Carb and a final belt drive. The speedometer shows 16145. This is a kick start bike.
